Some MRC members recently helped Project READ with their FRED Event. Teresa Greneger from the North Central region helped organize the event and Program Coordinator Kari Gjerde wrote the grant that helped Project READ get money from Lake Country Power's Operation Round Up.

You might know Project READ from the Bright Red Bookshelf program in Grand Rapids. FRED stands for Fathers Reading Every Day - it is Project Read's event that promotes father/child reading. The grant specifically is for the event in Cohasset this winter.

There has been great news coming from Project READ - it's nice to see that MRC members have continued their pro-literacy work in their community outreach projects as well as their MRC service.
