National AmeriCorps Week

Last week, the annual Minnesota AmeriCorps conference took place as part of National AmeriCorps week. The conference pulls AmeriCorps members from all across the state and brings them together for one day.

The conference entailed activities, learning and sharing and as with National AmeriCorps week, it also shined a spotlight on AmeriCorps, its members, family and friends in hope to inspire those and more to participate and volunteer.

The week also shined a light on the Edward M. Kennedy Service Act that he passed last year. The act has set a bold vision of expansion, impact and innovation for AmeriCorps and momentum to serve across the country has never been stronger.
